Built on a field called Cae March Du land formerly owned by a Mayor of Wrexham Sir Evan Morris. He was knighted In 1888 when Queen Victoria visited Wrexham. The street was named after Queen Victoria who was Empress of India at the time. There was once a shop on the corner of this road and Alexandra road that used to sell ice creams and sweets through a window. If you look you can see where this window was placed. It has since been bricked up.
