Mrs. Molly Roberts remembers one of the oldest residents of Poyser Street - Mrs. Sally Rodon late of no 10. Poyser Street passed away in 2002 at the grand age of 101. She and her husband Trevor were the first people in the area to have the use of the telephone. Mr. Rodon worked on the ambulances and was given a phone for call outs.
