My great great uncle Frederick Evans of Edward Street Wrexham, was the youngest of 7 children, born to Mr and Mrs John Evans. He served with the 9th Battalion South Lancashire Regiment. No 43707 , he was killed in Action on the 18th September 1918, aged just 20.in central Macedonia, 8 weeks before Armistice Day. He is remembered with Honour at the Dorian Memorial, Northern Greece,on the border of Macedonia. As this is the 100 year commemoration, of the WW1 , we as a family will be visiting the memorial, to pay our respects.
